Duplicating the Pinblock

The original was not that great of a fit against the Plate Flange

So I sanded it down to make a more stable fit

Testing it out before drilling any holes

Testing it in the piano

Since It fit, time to drill the holes for the tuning pins

Drill all oles with the same technique, at the same rate

Holes Drilled!

There was too much down bearing force, so the bridge cap was reduced and re-notched

There will be greater projection in the bass range now.

The plate comes in, and out several times.

Everything gets polished

And the soundboard gets refinished.

I love wood finish work!
